For over 50 years we have been at the forefront of the perfume and beauty distribution industry in Malta. With our finger on the pulse of the local market, we consistently strive to present new and exciting products, while maintaining a strong commitment towards the ongoing development of the brands that we represent. Today we represent over 15 brands ranging from premium and prestige fragrances and skincare to celebrity brands and bath line products. With a team of 20 in sales, administration and delivery, we work through our distribution network of over 220 perfumeries and pharmacies, including the most established shops on the island.

Our history

Ta’ Xbiex Perfumery Ltd. has over 50 years of experience in the perfume and beauty distribution industry. In the late 1960s, pharmacists Aldo and Isabelle Camilleri observed a growing demand for perfumes and cosmetics in Malta. They established direct contact with fragrance houses and slowly built up a portfolio of sole distributorship of a number of Brands. These included Paco Rabanne, a Brand which we have represented on the island since 1972.

Since then, the company has significantly expanded its operations; today we exclusively represent over 20 brands. With our finger on the pulse of the
local market, we consistently strive to present new, exciting products while maintaining a strong commitment towards the ongoing development of the brands that we represent.

Our network of retailers currently comprises over 220 perfumeries, beauty shops, beauty salons and pharmacies including the most established shops on the island. To service our clients, we have a staff complement of 20 sales, office and logistics employees.

1950s The Beginning

Pharmacists Isabelle and Aldo Camilleri open Ta’ Xbiex Pharmacy.

Aldo and Isabelle Camilleri transform Ta’ Xbiex Pharmacy into Ta’ Xbiex Beauty Salon: the first beauty parlour in Malta. The venture was an instant success.

The company established formal agreements with major fragrance houses to act as official sole importers and distributors for select perfume brands in Malta.

The company expanded its salon operations and experienced considerable growth in its portfolio as a representative of major international fragrance and skincare brands, During this time it launched notable international brands on the local market.

1980s The Growth

2000s The Diversification

Following a significant expansion in its agency portfolio and growth and diversification in its distribution network, the company decided to shift away from the services industry to focus solely on import and distribution. The doors of the salon closed in 2009 and the company’s import portfolio has continued to increase steadily.

In order to maintain ongoing growth and continuity the managing director bought out the business together with other family members to take on the business to a new level.

2017 The New Look

Ta’ Xbiex Perfumery Ltd. rebranded to TXP, launched the new website and expanded its premises.

TXP opened its first outlet in Ta’ Xbiex, complementing the network of over 200 retailers it supplies across the Maltese Islands.
